METT BARCELONA HOTEL

The terraces play a central role in the life of METT Barcelona: they are spaces for staying, dining, relaxing and contemplating, always in dialogue with the city in the background. To respond to this condition, the set of 5 pergolas was specifically customised to adapt to the needs of the hotel’s outdoor terrace, taking into account the geometry of the space, its uses and the way guests move through and inhabit each area. The result is an intervention that not only provides shade, but also order, continuity and an architectural presence consistent with the contemporary character of the whole.

In the pool and relaxation areas, the choice of Azores and Azores D responds to a specific need of the project. METT Barcelona’s elevated location, open to the landscape and highly exposed to the wind, required parasols capable of responding reliably to more demanding conditions without giving up a refined presence. Their placement accompanies the terrace with a clean and proportionate image, filtering the light and improving comfort of use while the gaze continues across Barcelona to the sea. A solution designed to protect the space naturally, extend the stay and respond to an environment where technical performance was just as important as visual integration.
