IASO project in Zarautz
MÉMORA FUNERAL HOME, ZARAUTZ
Zarautz
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this project is to give shape to the façade of the Mémora Funeral Home in Zarautz, the Basque Country. By covering the outside of the windows on the top floor, the aim is to use the shadows and concealments produced by the canvas to create an intimate, sheltered space. The textile façade created with PVC membrane is made up of eight canvases, all with different shapes, to meet the criteria set by the architect.

The shapes of the canvases are defined by the outlines created with a metal "L" profile. The selected canvas is a white Soltis 381 microperforated membrane. At the customer's request, and to have a 10-year guarantee, the canvas is screen-printed in grey, including a text chosen by the customer. When the canvas is screen-printed, the printed face cannot be welded and only the back can be welded. The joints between the different sizes are butt-welded with a grey PVC VIP FR strip on the inner face, joining both patterns. This membrane is fixed around the perimeter to the "L" profile by means of our silver anodised aluminium tensioning profile.

Where the structure changes plane, the membrane bends over a folded plate, marking the turn of the canvas.
