It is tensile cover with the shape of a hyperbolic paraboloid that covers the square of the town hall of Navas de Estena. This cover offers a pleasant and cozy space in this square, all respecting the harmony of the urban core.
TECHNICAL BASE
The cover plan view is an hexagonal form with a diameter 14.90m and occupying an area of approximately 123m². The vertices of the canvas are fixed, 3 of them to low pillars, and the remaining 3 to high pillars. The low pillars are embedded in the foundation and the high pillars supported by two cables to their respective foundations.
The cover is made in one piece. It has a cable around its perimeter, which is fixed by the vertices to the anchor plates located in the structure.
