On the cover of its latest issue, the prestigious Portuguese magazine Villas&Golfe presents a work by IASO-TENSOTEC in the restoration of the Palácio do Freixo and the adjoined facilities of the old Harmonia flour factory. The palace was declared a national monument in 1910 due to its great historical and architectural value.
Grupo Pestana, hand in hand with architect Jaime Morais, has carried out the renovation of this old space, and has included various constructive elements from IASO-TENSOTEC. One of these consists in the roof located at the end of the old boardwalk, used for loading and unloading the ships. It is a small tensioned canvas roof that offers a relaxation area for the clients of the luxurious charming hotel, where one can delight in the magnificent views of the Duero river and its surroundings.
