In just three days, we designed and manufactured a 10×10-metre above-ground pool for El Hormiguero, used live on air for an experiment involving fire and liquid nitrogen: precision, safety and engineering working hand in hand.
The brief required a bespoke, modular solution suitable for studio use, with strict safety requirements and an unmovable schedule. The deadline: 72 hours.
We opted for a removable, modular structure with a custom liner to ensure watertightness and strength. Our priorities were threefold: speed without compromising quality, structural stability, and seamless integration within the filming environment.
Execution was coordinated directly with the programme’s production and safety teams, establishing clear protocols for the live experiment. Mission accomplished: everything worked perfectly at the first attempt, without affecting broadcast timing.
The result was a stable, safe and visually clean installation — fit for a live television format.

What is a custom above-ground pool?
A modular structure designed to fit the space and purpose. It can be installed, used as long as necessary, and removed without any permanent construction or invasive impact on its surroundings. Its value lies in combining speed, safety and visual cleanliness.
How it is composed
- → Modular frame: precisely fitted components that allow adjustment of dimensions and height.
- → Sealed containment system: technical membrane liner and seals ensuring watertightness.
- → Perimeter reinforcement and anchors: stability under load and intensive use.
- → Access and operation: ramps or steps as needed, with controlled filling and draining points.
Why choose it
- → Speed: fast assembly and dismantling with planned logistics.
- → Adaptability: fits the geometry, movement and technical needs of the production or event.
- → Reusability: designed for multiple uses with the same safety standards.
- → Integration: discreet presence, refined finishes and minimal spatial impact.
