This project involves conditioning the hotel lobby and improving its energy efficiency by means of a transparent ETFE skylight with cables, in the shape of a dodecagon 5.5m in diameter and 23.5m² in area.
TECHNICAL BASE
The membrane is fixed along the perimeter using a tensioning aluminium profile and to a secondary metal structure made of folded sheet in an “L” shape, lacquered in RAL 9006 and equipped with lugs to secure and tension the cables.
The membrane is anchored with stainless steel cables at the bottom to prevent potential movement and to keep it perfectly tensioned. An opening is made in the structure to allow the passage of an electric cable for the fan installed at the centre of the skylight.
