PROJECT DESCRIPTION

At Iguzzini, the façade is conceived as a living layer that interacts with the city: it filters sunlight, softens reflections, and follows the rhythm of the hours without losing transparency. Textile architecture introduces a tempered light that makes the threshold between inside and outside habitable — a serene landscape for working, meeting, and looking outward in comfort. Engineering remains in the background so that the experience, both indoors and outdoors, feels clear, gentle, and continuous.

The intervention is achieved through a tensioned textile skin composed of micro-perforated technical membrane modules and lacquered aluminium profiles, anchored to discrete substructures to preserve the building’s clean visual reading. The modulation follows the structural rhythm of the complex, combining different shades across flat panels and gentle curvatures where solar radiation needs to be redirected or views controlled. Junctions are resolved with specific components that ensure uniform tension and a stable, clean surface. The result is a solar control layer that reduces glare, improves thermal comfort near the façade, and diffuses natural light towards the interior — all without compromising the architectural identity or the building’s daily operation.
