At the latest edition of Piscina Barcelona, held last November, we shared a very simple idea with visitors and clients: protecting a pool means protecting time, water and peace of mind. Throughout the trade fair, we presented new solutions in automatic slatted pool covers designed for those seeking a pool that is easier to maintain, safer and more pleasant to enjoy, without complications in day-to-day use. In the exhibition area, we also created an outdoor display in collaboration with OGO Furniture, to show the covers in a real and welcoming setting (without any greater prominence than that of the experience itself).

Automatic pool covers: why more and more people are choosing them
When someone searches online for “automatic pool cover”, “automatic pool cover system” or “slatted pool cover”, they are usually looking for the same thing: less cleaning, less evaporation and more control. A slatted cover protects the water when the pool is not in use, helps keep it in better condition and adds a layer of safety that is especially noticeable in homes with children or pets (without ever replacing adult supervision).
At Piscina Barcelona, we heard the same questions again and again:
Which option will be best integrated into my terrace?
Is there a discreet solution if I do not want to see the roller mechanism?
Which model suits me best if I want a simple and quick installation?
That is why, this season, we have expanded the range with systems that cover different pool styles and different priorities: visible and carefully designed systems, full integration, or compact solutions that adapt to a wide variety of spaces.
Three standout solutions: Bank, Elipse and Edge
Bank: when you want a visible cover, but one that is well resolved

Bank is an automatic cover solution with a protective concealment housing that pays close attention to the overall presence of the system. The housing can be semi-clad in synthetic wood and allows the system to remain neatly stored away, with an aesthetic designed to integrate into the outdoor setting. In addition, the model can be movable with guide rails, a practical advantage in certain projects.
In a few words: if you are looking for a slatted cover with a solid, furniture-like presence that feels coherent with the terrace, Bank is a very natural choice.
Elipse: a fixed cover with a clean and contemporary appearance

Elipse is a fixed automatic cover with a highly refined design: it features oval supports in powder-coated aluminium, with concealed fixings, and a front panel that can be customised in different colours to suit the appearance of the pool and its surroundings.
The result is a straightforward solution for anyone who wants an automatic slatted cover without visual noise, with an elegant presence that is easy to understand: it is there, it works and it complements the space.
Edge: underfloor integration for a visually clean pool

For those who prioritise full integration, Edge places the rolling system below floor level and finishes it with a synthetic cover lid that can be panelled (for example, with porcelain tiles or mosaic tiles) so that the whole system maintains the continuity of the paving.
Put simply: Edge is designed for those who want to see the pool exactly as it is, without visible elements around it, and enjoy an automatic cover that appears and disappears without interfering with the design of the space.
How to choose a pool cover without getting lost
Every pool has its own logic. That is why, when choosing an automatic pool cover, it is worth thinking about three very specific questions:
What do you want to prioritise: integration or accessibility?
If you want a highly integrated solution, it often makes sense to look at systems such as Edge.
If you prefer a visible solution with a carefully considered aesthetic that is easy to position, Bank or Elipse may be good candidates.
What is your setting like: terrace, garden, hotel, home…?
The same pool changes greatly depending on how it is used: a private home is not the same as a hospitality installation where the outdoor area is used every day and the organisation of the space is especially important.
What do you expect to achieve in day-to-day use?
Most users are looking for the same thing: to reduce dirt, keep the water more stable and simplify maintenance. The cover does not replace pool care, but it does reduce the daily workload and makes use more convenient.
What we took away from the trade fair
Piscina Barcelona has once again been a meeting point to talk about what really matters: solutions that work in real life, with understated design and a more pleasant experience around the water. Thank you to everyone who visited our space and shared their projects.
If you are considering installing an automatic pool cover, or if you would like to compare options for your case (new-build or renovation), our team can guide you with a clear proposal tailored to your space.
